This October, Silk City Coffee is recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month by partnering with two organizations serving survivors and families in our communities.
At our Manchester location, we are supporting Interval House, and at our Willimantic location, we are supporting the United Services Domestic Violence Program.
Supporting Interval House in Manchester
Interval House works to protect and support survivors of domestic violence while building awareness to help break the cycle of abuse.
Serving communities on both sides of the Connecticut River, Interval House provides free and confidential services including a 24/7 hotline, emergency shelter, support groups, court advocacy, law enforcement partnerships, and community education.
Each year, Interval House assists approximately 700 Manchester neighbors experiencing domestic violence.

Supporting United Services in Willimantic
The United Services Domestic Violence Program serves adults, children, and families throughout Northeastern Connecticut as part of United Services’ broader mission to respond to youth, family, adult social, and behavioral health needs and help create healthy communities.
Their domestic violence services include a 24/7 hotline, court advocacy, individual counseling, safety planning, support groups, children’s services, senior services, and public education.
In 2025, United Services assisted 1,163 adults and children fleeing domestic violence.

100% of all proceeds from our Love Coffee Love People branded merchandise go into a fund to help support people in need in our local community. You can purchase either in shop or through our mobile ordering site.

If you are a local non-profit with a valid 501(c)(3) Federal EIN, you are welcome to fill out our application. Please be aware that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance. Each request will be carefully reviewed, and applicants will be notified of our decision.
